Filzmoos Powder Weekend

Back again in the idyllic Filzmoos - while Ronja enjoyed ski school her parents had lots of fun in the deep snow with Jan (a ski instructor friend on his day off)  - a perfect weekend!

Ski weekend in Warth Schroecken

Once again a fabulous weekend in the mountains - this time with the "Wexens" - some powder, sunshine and plenty of skiing - not to forget the evening fun!

Christmas and New Years break in the snow

This year we packed everything - even a real tree and decoration - to celebrate christmas in the snow - Filzmoos in Austria was our host village where we rent an apartment.

 We even spotted Santa walking home that night - some may say it was a satellite (for 4 year olds it was just lucky timining ;-) )

 Those guys - the PERCHTs are a bit scary - but harmless - they are supposed to scare the winter away - very old local tradition

 We celebrated with our friends a perfect New Years eve - with a seven courses dinner and a snow bar -  simply delicious!

Ski Opening 2012 - Soelden, Austria

For this years ski opening we choose Soelden in Austria - because they were supposed to have snow and the skiing area is quite big. Four days - quite cold and windy, but we were lucky - we even got some serious powder!

 

What a great hut in the middle of the slopes - felt like Heidi and the food was even better!
