The old man and his panic rock band with an impressive show - live in Stuttgart. We stood pretty close up front and enjoyed nearly 3 hours concert with Udo - new and old songs and the finale "Reeperbahn" with Ole (Voice of Germany).

Detroit Expat Ski Weeked - The Third

It was already the third time that the former Detroit Expat met in the alps for a fun winter weekend. This time with lots of sunshine, a smaller ski group but still plenty of fun activities - like croucheting in lederhosen with panoramic mountain views ;-)!

Powder Ski Weekend

There was a lot of snowfall predicted for the weekend - so we decided to go skiing to Filzmoos again - and we really had the best powder skiing ever! And even with the kids (Ronja and her local friend Kathy with her mother Petra) we enjoyed the winter dream from morning til the last run in the afternoon. For some extreme powder we had the company of Eugen who showed us the best hidden runs thru the woods - where we even spotted a snow bunny! Lucky we had snow chains for the car and did not have the chore of the locals to get the snow of the roofs of their houses....

Our special Thanks go to Petra for taking care of Ronja that we could enjoy that amazing experience together!!!

Ski week in Austria - perfect start in 2012!

We ended the old year and started the new one in Austria - during a perfect ski week. While Ronja enjoyed ski school (see her blog) we could discover beautiful rides in fresh powder thru the woods and fast runs on the slopes. Into the new year we celebrated on the hills with old friends (after the beautiful ski instructors parade where they lit the 2012 in the snow). On some runs we took the little one who improved a lot and likes skiing as much as her parents - this is why we will drive in the mountains next weekend again ;-)

Skike - a new sport in the family

Jupp found another sport - skiking - and likes it. Together with our running friends the boys exercise in a bit of a silly outfit. But it is a good whole body aerobic exercise - lets go guys!
